A few weeks ago I went to talk to some kids in a school about writing. I’d written them a story that I thought would be right for their age. It was a nice few thousand words about a happy little kid who learns a lesson about greed and imagination.
I figured it was as much as they could handle.
After speaking to them, I found out I was wrong. Kids want horror.
I wrote a zombie book recently. (It took me years).
So obviously I needed some art for the front.
On a whim, I decided to make one of my shorts free this weekend.
It’s called Separation. I wrote it last Halloween in a concerted effort to write a tale with a demon.
I consolidated my
monthly spending into one manag eight short stories into one book, called (imaginatively) HORROR ANTHOLOGY – A COLLECTION OF SHORT, SCARY STORIES… because that’s exactly what it is.
The first short story I ever self-published (and my second-best seller, at this point) is going free on Kindle for a few days.
